Pressing Issues

When I press my item I am getting a 2nd image ( ghosting ) on my item.

Ghosting is normally caused from 1 of 2 common issues when pressing. The first issue is caused during the pressing if the item shrinks in the press. The initial release of ink from the paper will give an initial image but as the item shrinks it will cause an additional image to be viewed on the image. Pre-pressing the item will normally correct this as it will not shrink again after it has been pre-pressed ( with no artwork dye sub paper ). The second most common reason for ghosting is that when the pressing is completed the dye sub paper is not IMMEDIATELY removed from the item. The moment the press opens we HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you grab the dye sub paper and as quickly as you can pull/snap it from the press to get it off of the item you are wanting the artwork on. If you do this as soon as it opens up you should have little to no ghosting as the paper and item are still hot and the ink can still transfer for a short time. If you leave it sit for a moment or hesitate during the removal process it may cause ghosting!
